This is NOT a military trunk, just repurposed.  It does open for storage.  The handle is missing on one side.

This desk is very sturdy.  Painted gray and distressed.  Seven drawers, they all work well.

 

 

Notice that all the hardware is mismatched.  I did that on purpose:)  I didn't like the boring wood handles it came with.
